Some activities in the Montreal area.
Propagation and Outreach initiatives continue to move forward with small and intimate local events replacing introductory events in the downtown hotels. These events are simple yet promote teamwork and empowerment of those involved.
Two of these events were scheduled in April, the first session of four at the Commensal Restaurant on St-Denis Street and the monthly session in St-Eustache.
Krish Ponnam continued to do presentations in the Tamil and Hindi communities with two events in April. He will continue during May to approach and hold events in cultural communities such as the Tamil Elders Association of Quebec. After the events of April, four people have requested to start the Keys process.
As well, before his death in October 2009, Denis Paradis had placed with success some racks of DVD's in selected stores, free to consumers. This approach was also used with great success in the UK.
Main Propagation Initiatives
There are three key projects being developed for propagation. The propagation team has been divided into three sub teams and the projects are:
- To have Words of Peace broadcast on French & English cable TV with distribution throughout Quebec including University TV channels. This team is presently conducting research to learn about the current rules and standards governing broadcasting in Canada and Quebec.
- To present Maharaji's message to suburbs, communities and associations in the Montréal area. We will first gather information, make a project plan and proceed in February. We want to offer to people with Knowledge and aspirants the opportunity to help by assisting us in making contact with various cultural communities or associations in the Montreal region.
-
To promote the message of Prem Rawat as well as local events through various advertising media and marketing efforts. This project is also in the planning stage.

The grant will cover expenses associated with telecasting half-hour “Words of Peace” programs for one year, eventually making them available in Spanish. CEA (Correctional Education Association) sources say the TLN (Transforming Lives Network) programs reach between 500,000 and 900,000 inmates nationwide, as well as about 300,000 correctional staff and workers.
The series “Words of Peace” is also shown at correctional facilities in Africa, India, New Zealand, Mexico and South America. “We believe that ‘Words of Peace’ will help bring positive change to offenders and corrections workers,” said Anne Charles, project director for CEA’s Transforming Lives Network.
The response from prisoners to the programs has been enthusiastic. Writing to express his appreciation for “Words of Peace,” Cedric, a California prisoner, said, “It gave me some insight on how to look at life from a different perspective.” AJ, from another California prison, said, “I must say that Prem Rawat’s message truly resonates with my heart on a deep level.”
The Correctional Education Association, founded in 1945, is a non-profit, professional association serving educators and administrators who provide services to students in correctional settings.

Here is a transcript of one of the letters from a prisoner
Recently I had the good fortune to watch some wonderful videos of Prem Rawat's speeches on inner peace and discovering one's true self, and I'm interested in learning more about Prem Rawat and his teachings.
I've studied Buddhism for quite some time as well as other forms of Eastern
Philosophy and spirituality, but I must say that Prem Rawat's message truly resonates with my heart on a deep level. Although I consider myself a Buddhist, I'm truly interested in learning more about Prem Rawat's message.
